2) Sterling & Wilson Renewable Energy :

Sterling & Wilson Renewable Energy has secured a Letter of Intent (LoI) for a major new project worth approximately ₹1,200 crore in Gujarat. The project involves the Design, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) of the Balance of System (BoS) for a 500 MW (AC) Solar PV project.

This prestigious project also includes a comprehensive Operations and Maintenance (O&M) agreement for a three-year period, showcasing Sterling & Wilson’s single-point responsibility in executing and maintaining the solar energy infrastructure.

The order reinforces the company’s position as a leading player in India’s renewable energy sector, contributing significantly to the country’s transition to clean energy.

The company reported an impressive 95.72% increase in consolidated net profit, reaching ₹200.20 crore in Q2 FY25, compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year (Q2 FY24).

Revenue from operations also saw a significant growth of 47.68%, rising to ₹2,092.99 crore in Q2 FY25. These strong financial results reflect the company’s robust performance and its ability to capitalize on growth opportunities in its respective market.

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd’s stock has recorded a 52-week high of ₹828 and a 52-week low of ₹423.60, showcasing considerable volatility over the past year.

3) Suzlon Energies Ltd : 

This news came 2 weeks ago but it is also important as it is also regarding Solar Energies and 2 weeks is not so late when we are looking for long term investments. 

JSP Green Wind 1, a subsidiary of Jindal Renewables, has awarded a 302.4 MW wind power project to Suzlon Energy in Karnataka’s Koppal region. This project aims to support India’s green steel production efforts by bolstering renewable energy supply.

This marks a significant milestone for Suzlon Energy, as its total order book now stands at a record-breaking 5.4 GW, with Commercial and Industrial (C&I) customers accounting for 56% of the orders. This is Suzlon’s highest-ever order book, highlighting the growing demand for renewable energy solutions in the industrial sector.

As part of this strategic agreement, Suzlon will deliver 96 S144 wind turbine generators (WTGs), each with a capacity of 3.15 MW. These turbines will feature hybrid lattice (HLT) towers, showcasing advanced technology for enhanced efficiency and sustainability in wind energy production.

The company reported a substantial 95.72% increase in consolidated net profit, reaching Rs 200.20 crore, driven by a 47.68% growth in revenue from operations.

Should you go for Solar Energy Shares or not ?

Solar energy field is a growing sector or field and India is a growing player or state when it comes to Solar Energy. 

India as a country has a target of producing 50% energy from Solar rather than fossil fuel till 2030, so I would definitely look for investing in Solar Energy related sector and companies for sure.
