In this Open Letter blog we are going to talk about reducing the power of the Government employees so that no one can bully the citizens in the Government offices.
It is a very serious topic because we have seen that there has been lack of transparency already and corruption is high in government departments. There has been a whole Political party that has been created on the basis of bringing Transparency to the Government procedures which is called AAP.
So, there has been this a very serious matter of bringing transparency and respectful behavior to the Government employees.
The real point is that many times we compare our system with USA and if we give right training and KNOWLEDGE to our Government employees we can make our Government system working first class like USA.

Talking About Modi Government & BJP & The Level of Transparency in India :
The thing is that Prime Minister Modi has been doing very well in International Politics with International Affairs but inside the country we see that maybe there has been a lack of grip over government by BJP and Prime Minister Modi.
You already know that many times Government corruption and jobs related connections are so deep that it is hard for common citizens and even IAS & IPS people to cope up with Transparency challenges.
Many times IAS & IPS people and Government employees without connections find themselves alone to overcome the routine Government tasks even.
So, bringing ” Good Government Practices ” and good training to the Government employees can bring better atmosphere for the citizens in the Government.
Transparency Under Narendra Modi’s Government: Progress and Challenges
Here’s a balanced look at the transparency levels under PM Narendra Modi’s administration:
Transparency and Corruption Statistics:
- Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) by Transparency International:
- 2022: Ranked 85th out of 180 countries with a score of 40.
- 2023: Dropped to 93rd with a score of 39.
- 2024: Further declined to 96th with a score of 38.
➔ These rankings suggest a decline in India’s perceived transparency in recent years.
Government Initiatives to Improve Transparency:
- Digital India Initiative: Focused on e-governance to reduce bureaucracy and minimize corruption opportunities.
- Direct Benefit Transfers (DBT): Ensures subsidies and welfare benefits directly reach beneficiaries, reducing leakages.
- Repeal of Obsolete Laws: Nearly 1,500 outdated laws were repealed to simplify governance and eliminate corruption loopholes.
- Public Feedback Mechanisms: Policies and draft regulations are made available online for public consultation, increasing citizen involvement.
Mixed Impact and Challenges:
- Despite these efforts, the CPI rankings indicate that corruption remains a concern in India’s public sector.
- There are gaps in the effective implementation of anti-corruption measures, leading to persistent issues at the grassroots level.
- While digitalization has improved transparency, cases of bribery and corruption still surface, showing the need for stronger enforcement.
All in all
The Modi government has taken notable steps toward enhancing transparency, but achieving tangible, widespread improvements remains a challenge. Effective implementation and stricter monitoring are crucial for sustained progress.
